Hard to explain, but hurts your eyes, and makes you feel like your on an acid
trip / could give an epileptic a seizure. After it fills the screen with that
pattern, it repeats the cycle, about 7 times or so, then finally launches the
game.

I saw that, too.  What does it do on Windows, though?  Maybe it's intended?

I haven't tested on windows yet, but I doubt that would happen there, unless
they did no testing at all.

As a guess, maybe it's trying to discover the screen resolution?

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc4 or higher or is this to be
closed as abandoned ?
