@Andre Which git commit did you check out? Perhaps this was fixed once but broke again soon after.
Also, I didn't see any commit since 0.9.52 that had anything to do with the WINED3DFMT_P8 issue which seems to be the root of this problem.
You should also keep an eye on Bug 6871. I think this one is actually a duplicate.
I really don't think this bug should have been closed that soon.
