backtrace of crash  for both 1.0.1 an 1.1.21

I am attempting to install the GTK+ development kit 2.12.9 (latest) from
http://gladewin32.sf.net.  (I need it primarily to re-create a cross dev
environment and don't want to have to create a heavyweight VM just to get all
the stuff out of the archive.)

Tested with latest wine 1.1.21 and latest stable 1.0.1,  both crash in same
manner at same place in the installer..

You sure you installed debug symbols for Wine?

apologies.  instaleld hte dev pkg . Where can one getthe debug symbols for wine
1.1.21 then,  is is avail as a package? (using ubuntu here)  or do I have to go
through the fun of build it completley from source polluting my system with non
pkg managed files?

a wine-dbg pkg would be great for those of us who aren't as code savvy as the
rest of you guys.. ;)
