--- Comment #1 from Carl-Erik Kopseng kopseng@stud.ntnu.no 2008-05-17 04:13:58 --- For some reason, after hanging (I Ctrl-C-ed it), the installer seems to stay in memory! After filing this report, I tried running winetricks, and the KAV installer suddenly appeared!
I went through the steps, and it seemed to install, but when pressing Finish, I got some error message, and it went into some strange loop. Had to kill all processes in "ps axu|grep wine" that I could see to make it go away.
In the end, it seems to have installed; it is in the Wine part of the Ubuntu Gnome Menu, but I just get this crash dialog/activation dialog loop when trying to start it.

It's true that this makes the error go away, which is what the bug report was about. But all in all, it doesn't really change anything.
Yes it now install without error, but after clicking "Finish", the processes still are present in the process table (ps aux), and they have to be manually killed (wineserver -k).
Upon next startup of Kaspersky the dialog about the crash briefly appears before the registration dialog appears (for a split second), only to disappear again.
