Etch; moderately up to date. Clean git as of today, after a make distclean. Clean ~/.wine (just use winecfg to set winver to Windows XP).
Last few lines of log include:

The installer GUI itself doesn't seem to notice that anything is wrong; no error. But there is clearly no itunes related files installed in ~/.wine
