Created an attachment (id=16347) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=16347) log of redistributable install phase
With the retail Witcher: Enhanced Edition discs, after installation of the game completes the installer begins to install redistributables. Installation appears to complete, but process does not terminate correctly in terminal and errors ensue.
Attempting to patch the game with TWEE_Upgrade.exe shows that installation did not finish.

I've installed mono19 from winetricks; tried both before and after installation of the Witcher. The problem with the hang is that the hang at the end keeps the Witcher from recognizing in wine as installed

--- Comment #6 from P Macko archimedes1@ymail.com 2009-05-20 15:18:54 --- I haven't tried the retail version of Witcher: Enhanced Edition (1.4), but the original Witcher 1.0 has historically had issues with installing redistributables (ms visual c++, directx) as well on older versions of wine at least up through and including wine 1.1.18. I did not however experience this issue with wine 1.1.21. (I did not try 1.1.19 or 1.1.20).
