Bug ID: 58944 Summary: Command and Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath and the Original does not load Product: Wine Version: 10.18 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@list.winehq.org Reporter: scottkidman@protonmail.com Distribution: ---
The Command and Conquer 3 series do not load past the splash screen. For Tiberium Wars, the splash screen disappears and does nothing and Kane's Wrath stops at the splash screen.
For Kane's Wrath, the process persists such that it must be ended in System Monitor to free up resources.
Log generation is not possible for both games because output is not produced.

--- Comment #1 from Scott Kidman scottkidman@protonmail.com --- I should add that patch 1.09 and 1.02 for Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath respectively were applied.

--- Comment #2 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- The usual questions: did you ry in a fresh wine prefix and does the demo https://fileplanet.download.it/p-80498/Command-Conquer-3-Tiberium-Wars-Demo-... show the problem for you

--- Comment #3 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- In fact I can reproduce the problem with the demo. So confirming.
wine CNC3Demo.exe 00f0:fixme:wineusb:add_usb_device Interface 1 has 6 alternate settings; using the first one. 00f0:fixme:wineusb:add_usb_device Interface 1 has 8 alternate settings; using the first one. 00c0:fixme:wineusb:query_id Unhandled ID query type 0x5. 012c:err:environ:init_peb starting L"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3\CNC3Demo.exe" in experimental wow64 mode

Sorry, joaopa, haven't gotten used to reporting bugs. I reported two bugs. I'll get the demo for those two and test it on a fresh prefix.
Question: for 32-bit games, should I try a 32-bit prefix?
