Hi, probably a duplicate. Probably a problem with missing environmentsettings,
i tested this app a few weeks ago.
Try this:
export ALLUSERSPROFILE="c:\windows\profiles\All Users"

Then try run the application again

Did you try if this work around helps:

export ALLUSERSPROFILE="c:\windows\profiles\All Users"

then run app again.

The demo is what I'm using to test. I have the 6 demo and latest (7.0.2) demo.
As soon as its done compiling, I will try the environment variable and attach
output. FYI, The export environment variable was suggested quite a long time
ago to no avail. I'm using Freebsd 6.2 btw, but similar problems are happening
w/ linux.

I did a quick search and several people tried to submit a patch for
ALLUSERSPROFILE, but none made it in. Anyone remember what the issue was?
Should such a patch go in wine.inf or in shell32?

but Alexandre wanted it in shell32. I found a different e-mail a while back
that said put it in wine.inf, and not shell32 :-/.

FYI, you can install ableton for "Only Me", instead of "All Users". Dont know
if this would make a difference. I am completing the install right now (wine
0.9.58 / ableton 7.0.1 , freebsd 6.3). I will attach the output shortly.

Austin, which email said to put it in wine.inf instead of shell32? Did
Alexandre write both emails? Please ask wine-devel for a clarification...

It probably needs to be in shell32 since there is apparently no exported dirid
for it. The important thing is that it must be localizable, that's why it can't
be hardcoded to "All Users" in wine.inf. Currently it's not handled quite right
in shell32 either, so that would probably have to be fixed first.

Kevin, the environmentvariable ALLUSERSPROFILE is set in current git now by a
fix from Alexandre. I tested this app a few times some time ago, and it always
started for me after setting this environment variable. Could you please retry
in current git or if that's not possible the next wine-release? If it still
crashes then, i guess it must be some FreeBSD-specific problem.

It works for me after making the setenv ALLUSERSPROFILE adjustment. There are
unrelated issues with respect to window behavior after the software runs, which
I may submit as a new bug.

Then this was a duplicate of #8125 after all. As for the rest of the bugs,
there was an initial window that didn't refresh, in which you had to accept
soemthing. I figured out this was ddraw bug, so it might be useful to add a
+ddraw trace to the new bug, if you're going to open it anyway
