I have attempted everything listed before. I've tried the following versions of wine. 1.1.5 (game loads but at character select and in game no models) 1.1.6 (game loads but at character select and in game no models) 1.1.12 (game loads but at character select and in game no models) 1.1.28 (game loads but at character select and in game no models) 1.1.32 (game loads but at character select and in game no models) 1.1.34 (game loads but after server selection, game crashes on loading character models)
I have also tried all versions of wine with the modification to $WINEVERSION$/dlls/d3d9/device.c ---- START BELOW ---- Add this line:
pCaps->MaxVertexBlendMatrices=0x4;
In file:
(your wine source directory)/dlls/d3d9/device.c
At function: IDirect3DDevice9Impl_GetDeviceCaps(LPDIRECT3DDEVICE9 iface, D3DCAPS9* pCaps)
---- END ----
recompiled Wine (each time) with no errors. (i have all the devel libraries) used 'wineserver -k' used the hacked d3dx9_30.dll in the EverQuest directory. got my own from Windows and Hacked it manually 'ghex2'.
Used different drivers from Nvidia, from the latest 190.x to older ones down to 100.x (plus the kmod and xorg-nvidia modules).
I've built the kernel modules both through automatic setup and also manually.
I even ran into the "Mouse Cursor is stuck" bug, and can only run Everquest in "Windowed Mode". but other than that, I am using Angelique's eqclient.ini file and hacked .dll.
I'm stuck. Also downloaded and installed Cedega, Everquest won't even load.. (or I am not setting it up right, but I cannot find any bugs or errors in it).
The error I get in the output is the AL16 and R6 with the Textures, I think. (I am at work atm, and forgot to pull the log)
