Download (e.g. http://www.freecreed.com/downloads/yahoo!/ymsgr810_421_us.exe)
and install.  To get past bug 14794, also do 'winetricks comctl32'.
Then start the app, add somebody to your list of contacts
(maybe they have to accept, too), and double-click on them.
The instant message window will appear, but will crash almost
immediately in xul.

This is a regression, probably from the new gecko; the crash does not
occur in 1.1.11.

and with +gecko, I see

at about the point where the app crashes.  I'll attach a log.

Fails to connect for me. Though it could be one of 3 things:
A) I haven't used my yahoo account in years, so maybe I have the wrong
password.
B) I'm currently in China, perhaps the Great Firewall is blocking it.
C) A wine problem in winsock?

Still won't connect in wine-1.3.30-205-g472a8f7. My password is correct
(verified by signing in on yahoo.com), and I'm not inside the Great Firewall.

Fails on windows 7 as well, probably yahoo moved their servers or something.
