I have a system with two (2) screens in a dualhead set-up with an expanded
desktop. After playing for a while I quit the game and the secondary screen is
disabled.

I have tried three (3) different games, and all of them do the same thing.

If virtual desktop is enabled, the second screen is not disabled.

As requested in #winehq, here is some info about my screen setup.

The card is a GeForce 8500GT with 512mb (PCI express).

The driver is nouveau (free nvidia driver), and there is no xorg.conf, so
everything is autodetected.

X.Org version: 1.8.99.904

1st monitor: 1400x1050@75hz
2nd monitor: 1152x864@75hz

Screen resolution: 2552x1050 pixels (there is a blind zone at the bottom of the
second screen)

Post output of 'xrandr' program

also, why are you using Nouveau? it is unstable and only supports 2D at this
time. if not already installed by defualt use jockey-gtk from the package
manager (hardware drivers) or get driver from nvidia

Because it's free software, because it autodetects my card AND dualhead without
my intervention, and because it just works.

It's stable enough to be the default driver choose by some linux distributions,
and in my experience I have longer uptimes with nouveau than I ever had with
nvidia, even when I enable the 3D support on nouveau.

$ glxinfo | grep renderer
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on NV86

It's performance may be worse than nvidia on 3D, but I don't use 3D that much
so I don't care.

Also, I can help finding bugs and testing patches for nouveau, but not for
nvidia.

This has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in 1.6-rc1 or higher or is this abandoned ?

I don't have access to my dualhead system to test it, and it may be a wile
before I can access it again, but I'll test and report as soon as possible.
