That's indeed unimplemented. Googling for it shows a lot of people having
errors when using IE7 on XP. Did you install native ie7/8, by chance?

I installed IE8 with winetricks. Still the same error.

Hello,

can't reproduce this.
The client doesn't import this user32.dll IsThreadDesktopComposited nor IE8
(installed by winetricks) does.
In fact 'IE8' isn't needed at all - it just pollutes the WINEPREFIX
unnecessarily.

Marking abandoned until you find a download/recipe to reproduce with.
