Self-extractor completes and immediately InstallShield begins, an error dialogue with the title HyperChem 8.0 appears with a cryptic message. After clicking OK, an error dialogue from the InstallShield Wizard nicely explains that an error occurred and that the error code is -5001, then it exits.

I did, and checking now, it seems that if I remove the .reg files and then run winecfg, it says Windows 2000. What's with that? :\
I just manually set it to Windows XP and tried again: same error dialogue, but it says Windows XP in place of Windows 2000, etc.

--- Comment #3 from scguy318 nodisgod@yahoo.com 2008-06-07 01:47:33 --- I just tried running the demo installer for HyperChem 8.0.4, and I noticed that the reason the installer fails is that the WinZIP extractor is not waiting for the setup program to terminate and removes the temporary files before the installer can actually use them. If you extract manually from the installer and run the setup executable, the installer launches without problems.

--- Comment #5 from scguy318 nodisgod@yahoo.com 2008-08-29 19:34:49 --- Indeed, confirming that the WinZIP extractor works properly with current Git (wine-1.1.3-295-g7c0d28b).
