Bug ID: 48378 Summary: Battle net does not start any game Product: Wine Version: 4.15 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: mosescu.tiberiu@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 66134 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=66134 "Windows" file generated on crash
I have installed the latest version of Wine (wine-4.0.3).
I have installed battlenet from the blizzard website and then installed starcraft 2 from inside battlenet.
I can start battlenet, login successfully, but when I press on play, it says "launching" for a moment, then the Play button gets enabled again, but the game does not start.
I can also press on other buttons successfully (like the account, notifications...). The only other that I cannot press or it just gets stuck is the Country/Region (just above the Play button)
If I start Battlenet from the terminal $ wine Games/Battle.net/Battle.net.exe
I get this (the similar lines repeat indefinetely):
0009:fixme:dxgi:d3d11_swapchain_Present1 Ignored present parameters 0x33c494. 0009:fixme:dxgi:d3d11_swapchain_Present1 Ignored present parameters 0x33c494. 0009:fixme:dxgi:d3d11_swapchain_Present1 Ignored present parameters 0x33c494. 0105:err:seh:setup_exception stack overflow 880 bytes in thread 0105 eip 0000000000000000 esp 00000000094112a8 stack 0x9410000-0x9410000-0x9c10000 0009:fixme:dxgi:d3d11_swapchain_Present1 Ignored present parameters 0x33c494. 0009:fixme:dxgi:d3d11_swapchain_Present1 Ignored present parameters 0x33c494. 0009:fixme:dxgi:d3d11_swapchain_Present1 Ignored present parameters 0x33c494. 0009:fixme:dxgi:d3d11_swapchain_Present1 Ignored present parameters 0x33c494.

--- Comment #1 from Louis Lenders xerox.xerox2000x@gmail.com --- Hi,
It crashes in libcef. Two things to try first:
- Did you already do "winetricks corefonts"?
- Upgrade to most recent wine-5.0-rc2 instead of using wine-4.0.
Looking at the crash it looks like familiar with old wine-versions and/or missing fonts, so this is probably fixed in current wine.
Could you try the above and report back please? Thanks and regards

--- Comment #3 from imosescu mosescu.tiberiu@gmail.com --- Hello,
I already did corefonts (./winetricks corefonts).
I got the latest version of wine (wine-5.0-rc3) and reinstalled Battlenet + Starcraft 2
I'm using a 64-bit architecture and also a 64-bit wineprefix.
I have battlenet and the games installed under ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)
Can you tell me on which architecture/setup you guys tested it? Maybe I can replicate that.
Thanks and have a great 2020! :)
