Bug ID: 35143 Summary: Microsoft Office Word 2007 SP2 is not allowing to save documents Product: Wine Version: 1.4.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: gatoso@grrlz.net Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 46881 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=46881 Log of install process
Microsoft Office Word 2007 SP2 is not allowing to save documents.
I have a version of Microsoft Office 2007 SP2. This is installed correctly, no problem there, but when I launch Word, it does not allow me to save documents: I write anything and, then, when I try to save it, appears a window indicating that the program is configuring something, this process take a lot of time and, finally, is not successful.
I am on Linux Mint 64 bits. I have installed Office, according the guidelines described here:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4992
I have created the 32 bit wineprefix and the library riched20.dll is set in Native (Windows).
The version of Microsoft Office 2007 that I have, includes:
Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 Microsoft Office Project Language Pack 2007 - Spanish Microsoft Office Project Profesional 2007 Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007 Microsoft Office Visio Language Pack 2007 - Spanish Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2007
This options the installer gives me for installing when I launch setup.exe. I have attached the terminal output of the installing process, the file is: setup.txt.
Also, I have attached other two files: firstlaunchword.txt and secondlaunchword.txt, both have the terminal output of the first time, and second time, respectively, that I launched the application. In both cases I can't save that I wrote.
The third time that I have launched Word, I tried to see the version of the program and it crashes (I have attached the terminal output, the file is: thirdlaunchword.txt). This behaviour is occurring constantly, I can't access to the About window, becouse it crashes. Anyway the version of Word installed is this one:
Microsoft Office Word 2007 (12.0.6425.1000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000)
Best regards, and thanks for reading.

--- Comment #4 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Not critical. http://bugs.winehq.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#importance
Your Wine version is old; you should test the latest development release before filing any bug.
From the log:
-------- err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. Usually, you can find it in the winbind package of your distribution. -------- You need to fix that.
Now the important part: -------- err:ole:COMPOBJ_DllList_Add couldn't load in-process dll L"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE11\msxml5.dll" -------- Duplicate of bug 30785.
In the future, please follow the guidelines on http://wiki.winehq.org/Bugs when filing bugs.
