------- Additional Comments From adrian.macneil@gmail.com 2006-07-06 00:08 ------- Ok I intalled a fresh copy of Ubuntu 6.06 on my new PC. First, I tried the official ubuntu Wine 0.9.9 package, which worked fine. Then, I upgraded to the winehq 0.9.14 package. Still worked fine. Next, I installed arts, and now when I click the audio tab winecfg crashes with:
Creating link /home/adrian/.kde/socket-aids. can't create mcop directory
Which is obviously because I have arts installed, but I don't have kde. I can't reproduce the Unhandled exception error I had before without installing kde, which I don't want to do at the moment. Sorry I can't help you any further, perhaps someone who uses kubuntu would be better suited.
On a side note, is there any reason why wine has it's own apt repository? Why not use the ubuntu universe one?
