Autocad 2002 crashes after around 2 mins of operation. Error reported by Autocad is: Autocad Error Aborting Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x7caa3610 Exception at 7caa3610
I have also have the exception reported at 0x7caa5610, 0x7caa1610.
Until it crashes the program is working pretty well, I have printed, drawn objects opened/saved files etc. Even when I just start Autocad and do nothing at all it still crashes after around 2 mins.

--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2007-08-23 07:19:52 --- Is that the all output it creates? Also how did you installed ACAD and are you using any native components? And please try installing wine_gecko and checking again (run 'wine iexplore http://winehq.org')

--- Comment #2 from Chris chris@ncode.com.au 2007-08-23 22:58:04 --- I installed and ran autocad under Windows 2000 mode.
Installation ran to completion, although the Volo View Express part of the installation did not run at all.
The installation process stuffed up the PATH variable in the system.reg file for the HKEY_LOCALE_MACHINE\System\Current Control Set\Control\Session Manager\Environment section. So I inserted "C:\Program Files\Autodesk Shared" for the PATH.
Then when trying to run the executable acad.exe, it complained that I was missing the following dlls MSVCIRT.dll and MFC42.dll, so I copied these from my Windows XP system32 directory to my wine\windows\system32 directory.
Then the executable worked, but started failing after around 2 mins. During the 2 mins I could open/save files, draw autocad objects and print.

--- Comment #4 from Chris chris@ncode.com.au 2007-08-24 00:21:44 --- The attached file is all the output from wine, let me know if there are any options you want me to pass to wine to get more information.
I installed Gecko autocad still crashes although things are a little different now. Still the same error on the command line from wine: err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x7caa5610
But now Autocad only crashes when I move the mouse focus to an X-Window app (like Firefox) then select the Autocad window again. Now Autocad crashes but does not report any error, it just crashes and closes.
If I open a file and print as soon as the application starts no problem but then if I open the print dialog, close it, open it, close it after about a minute of doing this Autocad crashes.
I have also opened a file, opened the print dialog, closed it (without printing), opened it, closed it, opened it, then autocad crashed, I have included this trace from the command line.

--- Comment #5 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-04-15 00:05:11 --- Is this still an issue in current (0.9.59 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #6 from Chris chris@ncode.com.au 2008-05-03 18:33:10 --- These bugs are not apparent in the Wine 0.9.59, i.e not crashing anymore. Still need the native MSVCIRT.dll and MFC42.dll files in /system32 and there are some crashes when using a few functions within the application but this original bug is fixed. Thanks.
