Bug ID: 55693 Summary: Flowgorithm fails as Wine-Mono has a mission dll Product: Wine Version: 8.14 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: 1b6038f3-c0a3-4614-9a2a-256434c26d0a@simplelogin.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 75208 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=75208 Wine log when trying to start Flowgorithm
Using wine-staging 8.14, Flowgorithm executable fails to open as it says wine-mono needs iconv.dll that doesn't appear to be on my system, I didn't find it being downloadable in WineTricks.

--- Comment #1 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Added a download link. Is this the program? This works perfectly fine for me.
How did you install wine-mono and which Distro are you on? Make sure to try a clean WINEPREFIX.

Hi, sorry for late response. Yes that is the program. I'm on fedora 38, doing 'sudo dnf install wine' installed also wine-mono and all dependencies needed, clean wine prefix didn't work, I also tried on another laptop with a clean install and it gives same error. Thanks

--- Comment #3 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Just to make it clear, you used that exact version I linked?
Would you mind sharing your "/usr/share/wine/mono/wine-mono-8.0.0/bin/libmono-2.0-x86_64.dll"? Last idea I have: Uninstall wine-mono and let wine download it itself.

I'm using 8.14.1 "wine.x86_64 8.14-1.fc38"
I uninstalled wine-mono only and wine did not install it automatically. I tried to 'wine Flowgorithm.exe' and yea it gave wine-mono not being installed '0120:err:mscoree:CLRRuntimeInfo_GetRuntimeHost Wine Mono is not installed'.

--- Comment #7 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Your version of wine-mono indeed needs iconv for some reason, seems like it was improperly compiled. IMHO, this sounds like a fedora package problem.
Weird that it doesn't auto install it, try manually installing wine-mono
- Download https://github.com/madewokherd/wine-mono/releases/download/wine-mono-8.0.0/w... - wine start wine-mono-8.0.0-x86.msi - (You don't get any output, that's normal) - Run the program again
