Yes, it is a regression. The last fix to enable this program to work was wine 6.19 or 6.20. and it worked in those versions and 6.21 as well.

I'm afraid that's going to make solving this bug quite a bit harder. Hopefully it inadvertently gets fixed in a newer release.
Btw, I can see from the log that you are using staging, is this issue also present with upstream (non-staging) wine?

--- Comment #6 from Scott shagooserver@gmail.com --- I experimented with running 2 versions of wine and the result was less than I expected so I just run with staging now as staging is necessary for gaming. As this is a productivity program over a decade old and has worked for years in wine it is likely it will be unintentionally fixed in upcoming releases.
