Bug #: 31502 Summary: Dota 2: switching focus from game corrupts it Product: Wine Version: 1.5.11 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: phoenix@mail.ru Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 41415 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=41415 Game gets corrupted after alt-tab
Repro: 1. Launch game 2. Alt-tab out of it
Result: Viewable area shrinks, showing just small rectangle in the center of the screen. Game freezes, at least visually (image within this rectangle doesn't update). See attached screenshot.
Expected: No game corruption.
Note: This could be gnome3-specific bug. Using virtual desktop works around it perfectly fine.

--- Comment #1 from Anton Vorobyov phoenix@mail.ru 2012-08-19 04:56:58 CDT --- Forgot to mention that this rectangle appears above any other windows (even if i try to bring them to focus), cannot be moved and thus makes whole desktop environment unusable.

--- Comment #2 from Anton Vorobyov phoenix@mail.ru 2012-08-19 10:17:59 CDT --- This affects fullscreen mode only. Borderless window is fine too, just like virtual desktop.

--- Comment #4 from Benjamin Xiao ben.r.xiao@gmail.com 2012-12-08 14:20:22 CST --- I have the same issue with Wine 1.5.18 (Ubuntu 12.10 / Gnome 3). Borderless window works okay, but it does not give up mouse control so I can't use other windows, making it not a viable workaround.

--- Comment #5 from quentin.herreros@gmail.com 2012-12-21 07:25:21 CST --- When I right click on steam icon in the upper right part of ubuntu and select "Parameters", I get back into the game ! It seems to work well like that :)

--- Comment #8 from Michal Grňo m93a.cz@gmail.com 2013-06-28 12:31:50 CDT --- I've also got this problem. Running Steam on PlayOnLinux, Ubuntu 12.10. Freeze is not only visual - clicking on "close" in Unity bar opens the known "not responding" window. In windowed mode runs OK. ----------------------- System info (Steam):

--- Comment #9 from Jarkko K jarkko_korpi@hotmail.com --- Is this still an issue?
I had this somepoint of time too, but noticed that multiple times using alt+tab recovered the window into fullscreen.
