Bug ID: 46743 Summary: starcraft II (SC2) battle net launcher works but SC2 exe is not even showing a window when started. Product: Wine Version: 4.2 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: ken@kenjo.org Distribution: ---
Created attachment 63745 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=63745 log
wine64 "c:/Program Files (x86)/Battle.net/Battle.net Launcher.exe" 2>&1 | tee SC2_ubutnu_19_04.log
So I run this fine in December on ubuntu 18.10 and whatever the wine devel version was at that time.I played for maybe 30-40 hour total then.
Now however I cant start the game. I first used ubuntu 18.10 but have now updated to ubuntu 19.04 and same error.
Tried multiple version of wine from several sources.
The only one that starts the game is Playonlinux 5.0 using wine3.19 but I get bad framerate then but at least it starts.
So is it possible to see in the log what the problem is ?

--- Comment #1 from Matteo Bruni matteo.mystral@gmail.com --- It's probably because of the anti-cheat Blizzard introduced that, at the moment, only works on wine-staging.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 46586 ***

--- Comment #2 from Kenneth Johansson ken@kenjo.org --- OK typical I just tested with stable and development then.
I will try the staging branch and see what happens.

--- Comment #3 from Kenneth Johansson ken@kenjo.org --- So I finally got some time to test this.
I can confirm that using wine staging the game works fine.
