I really don't know when I'll find time to work on it though (I'm leaving for the week-end, and next week I'll have only two evenings for building the binary packages for RH for Wine 0.9.3 and/or 0.9.4 (if AJ releases it by then), and then it's Christmas and New Year (and I won't be near a computer during that time)). So no ETA from me on this one, sorry. Having a downloadable app should help though.
For now, if you're not afraid of building from source, just apply the patch with -R (reverse), and if it is indeed the patch which broke it (and it probably is, considering the problem you see), you should have a newer Wine without that problem, but without the ability to handle Unicode text for some systray functions.
