Michael, if you like workarounds, try installing 
JSCript.dll via native MS installer, for example 
[1] (it doesn't require Windows validation as does 
full newest version of scripting engines [2]).

Before this you will probably need native Dcom 
installed [3].  I've made similar workaround with 
VBScript.dll yesterday.

And yes, I agree Wine needs own scripting engine 
probably made using SpiderMonkey [4].
