--- Comment #11 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Does the bug still occur with wine-4.4?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40643
--- Comment #12 from Beta Version betaversiondot@gmail.com --- Still occur with 4.4-staging.

--- Comment #13 from orbea@riseup.net --- Created attachment 64720 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=64720 wine-4.10 + d3d8to9-1.9.2
The graphics are a little bit better, but objects and npcs are invisible.

--- Comment #14 from orbea@riseup.net --- Created attachment 64721 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=64721 wine-4.10 + dgVoodoo-2.55.4.1 + dxvk-1.2.2
The graphical issue is gone, but the characters and boat are invisible in this cutscene.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40643
--- Comment #15 from orbea@riseup.net --- This still occurs with wine 4.10.
So I tried three things.
1. I tried d3d8to9.
https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9
This improved the graphics, but they are broken and now the objects like the characters and boat are invisible. See the attached photo.
2. I tried to use wine-nine-standalone with d3d8to9, this resulted in unrelated issues that prevented the test.
3. I tried dgvoodoo, this results in a black screen.
http://www.dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2.html
4. I tried with dgvoodoo + dxvk, the graphical issue is gone, but the invisible characters and boat issue still occurs.

--- Comment #16 from orbea@riseup.net --- Created attachment 64729 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=64729 wine-4.10 + d3d8to9-1.9.2 + native d3dx9_43 and d3dcompiler_43
I did not realize that using native versions of d3dx9_43 and d3dcompiler_43 is often required for d3d8to9 and now the game looks correct after a few minutes of testing.

--- Comment #17 from Beta Version betaversiondot@gmail.com --- As of wine-5.11 graphics are ok, no more rainbowish textures.
