Summary: Baldur's Gate 2 Throne of Bhaal mouse jumps to previous position Product: Wine Version: 1.3.27 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: i30817@gmail.com
A strange bug in the main menu of Baldur's gate 2 throne of bhaal (unsure if it shows on BG 2 too):
Mouse jumps back to a previous position if you click it or wait long enough (one second or so).
You can actually move the mouse since it seems that the sampling of the previous position is not from the start of the movement.
It makes it unplayable.

It can be avoided with a virtual desktop of the same resolution as your desktop and setting the ingame resolution to that.

--- Comment #2 from Goblinstomper@gmail.com 2012-07-26 16:49:27 CDT --- This is still (wine 1.5.9) observable in the cd/dvd version of BG2/Throne of Bhaal. I was able to reproduce it by running the game in fullscreen mode, minimizing the game and after restoring it the mouse pointer would behave erratically as described. Easily worked around by running the game in windowed mode.
For completness sake I tried, but was not able to reproduce it in planescape Torment (possibly because Torment does not minimize properly for me - but that's not the subject of this bug anyway).

--- Comment #3 from Oskar Gargas oskar.gargas@gmail.com 2013-04-04 04:58:41 CDT --- I see this behaviour in vanilla Planescape: Torment running wine 1.5.27 with experimental mac driver in full screen mode. I don't see it when running standard X11 using XQuartz 2.7.5_rc1 even in full screen mode.

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).
