This is a very old bug, but until the opengl child window bug was fixed, it was kind of moot. Place names on the globe look ok, sort of, when far away, but as you zoom in, the letters fly apart. Is some perspective transform screwed up?

At least the bug is not OpenGL related as it happens in both OpenGL and Direct3D mode. I have also checked if it depends on the font but all fonts show the same behavior. It must be somehow in the font rendering code or perhaps gdi.
