--- Comment #2 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy-bugzilla@kievinfo.com 2011-12-27 11:49:30 CST --- GPU overheating can't be solved by Wine. You can use native Linux tools to check your GPU temperature and monitor/adjust fan speed.

--- Comment #4 from prueboblog@gmail.com 2011-12-27 14:20:16 CST --- Well, it seems that it eats all the graphic card memory (the game requires 32MB, I have 256). Not overheating (although the crash was similar, I think).

err:d3d:resource_init Out of adapter memory
In case Wine fails to guess correct video memory size of your card please set it manually via registry. See VideoMemorySize here: http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys

--- Comment #6 from prueboblog@gmail.com 2011-12-28 15:17:32 CST --- I don't think wine fails to guess video memory. I have played many games (unreal based, quake based, half-life based, descent 3, warcraft 3, starcraft, etc), even games that use all video memory (doom3, prey, portal, half life 2, painkiller, farcry, armies of exigo, etc) with no problems at all.

--- Comment #9 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).
