Summary: Adobe Acrobat Pro 6 -- Save As Certified Document fails Product: Wine Version: 0.9.59. Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jens@porup.com
Acrobat Pro offers a feature to digitally sign documents.
Under the File menu, selecting Save As Certified Document produces a msgbox that prompts user to Get Digital ID From Adobe Partner. Clicking on the button shown makes the msgbox go away, but then nothing happens.

--- Comment #1 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-04-12 17:52:00 --- Additionally, under Advanced --> Manage Digital IDs --> Trusted Identities, attempting to Add a Contact produces the following error message:
Connection could not be established. Please check your directory configuration settings.
Also, when this msgbox loses focus (when I alt-tab to my browser window to type out this error message) Acrobat Pro freezes hard.
Acrobat Pro appears to be trying to connect to the VeriSign Internet Directory Service via LDAP.
I have also tried creating a Digital ID through the Advanced --> Manage Digital IDs --> My Digital ID Files --> Select My Digital ID File --> New Digital ID File, but even with the locally-generated ID, trying to Save As Certified Document still produces this bug.

Is there a free trial of this app? Please attach a +wldap32 trace.
Dan Kegel lists several links to free trial version of Acrobat Pro 6, 7, and 8, here:

I'm testing with a legit copy of Acrobat Pro 6.0 my employer provides me.
+wldap32 trace attached. Note that I had to Ctrl-C in console after the program froze.

fixme:activeds:ADsOpenObject
(L"LDAP://directory.verisign.com",L"",0,0x7bca3ab4,0x7fd820d4)!stub
It wants to use activeds which is a complete stub in Wine. Perhaps the LDAP part of this dll can be done as a wrapper around wldap32.
