I tried installing slingplayer from bug 10785 and I got an error dialog half
way through:

error: -1603 fatal error during installation.

Although it looks like most of the program got installed.

This looks like the problem.

Installing native msxml3 lets it install fine. Confirming.

The msxml typelib issue has be fixed.

With Wine 0.9.55, I got a different error later on in the process:

"Error number: 0x80040707
Description: DLL function call crashed: SBSH.SBSH_CheckGraphA"

0.9.56 released, so closing all bugs marked as RESOLVED FIXED.
