When double-clicking on the desktop shortcut, the app is displayed in the
taskbar for a few seconds and then disappears.

The following command works just fine for me:

wine "$HOME/.wine/drive_c/Program
Files/UTVIgnitionGames/Faxion/player_client.exe"

This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years.
Is this still an issue in current (1.7.6 or newer) wine? If so, please attach
