wine installed itunes, but when i went to open via the desktop icon it did nothing. opened from home menu, app acted strange and gave an x86 config when i downloaded 64. have been having extreme problems with someone using my gmail who hangs out in my hallway. noticed that the .exe was missing from home menu and downloads folder, so reinstalled. many components now missing. did not format the same as 1st install. please see attached.

--- Comment #1 from 29cagn1hnyc@gmail.com 2013-05-28 00:52:26 CDT --- after sending bug report found that an itunes application was uploaded and synchronized to my ubuntu one cloud. these files showed up in my phone. i did not upload or sync and did not authorize anyone else to do so either. this person has been a nuisance for over 4 years now. i have 2 ic3 reports filed on this annoying troll who refuses to let me learn at my own speed and who has been fucking my world up relentlessly on my android phones for years with his/her linux prowess. die troll die, i say...

--- Comment #3 from 29cagn1hnyc@gmail.com 2013-05-28 10:43:25 CDT --- thank you for redirection to the correct thread. can you now give me explicit instructions on how to facilitate the functioning with the .dll you referred to me? I am a new user and unfamiliar with the platform.

--- Comment #7 from 29cagn1hnyc@gmail.com 2013-05-28 13:48:55 CDT --- for instance, can an older version of itunes for windows7 64 bit work? it keeps installing to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and when I go to change the install location it gives me a folder called _Browse Property and I cannot move up or down to another directory except within that portion of the system. I am surprised that has not yet been a workaround from WineHQ.

--- Comment #8 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com 2013-05-28 14:14:42 CDT --- You are hitting bug 28219. Anyway if you are trying to sync an ipod to itunes you will hit bug 9649.

--- Comment #9 from 29cagn1hnyc@gmail.com 2013-05-28 14:25:02 CDT --- i am not as technically proficient as you would think.
i still have yet to figure just where to find vcrun2005 or how to make it work in winetricks. additionally, the quicktime install from the winetricks dll menu is telling me to go to a non-existent menu called Advanced/Safe Mode (gdi). that part was automated and had the bug workaround. unsure as to why there is no such thing existent for the current windows dll for the current itunes. it should port easily with the newest Ubuntu 12.04 LTS which is installed on my windows 7 system.
can you please clarify without sending me a bug link? i am busy and have very little time to sit and look through boards to figure this out. i need to just get to work.

--- Comment #10 from 29cagn1hnyc@gmail.com 2013-05-28 14:36:19 CDT --- How about just asking someone from Apple (which is UNIX) to design a port over for Wine to make it work in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS?

You've been told to use the forums for these questions, not bugzilla. iTunes as of now does not work in Wine.

Feel free to ask them yourself. That is outside the scope of Wine.
