I can't quite reproduce that problem, but Mathcad 15 requires .net 3.5sp1 to
install.
It doesn't put up that error unless you do 'winetricks dotnet20'
before installing.
Sadly, 'winetricks dotnet35sp1' doesn't work yet.

Anyway, unless you have .net 3.5 sp1 installed, this bug is probably invalid.

.NET 3.5 SP1 should install on Wine, with some workarounds. I remember
installing .NET 2.0, .NET 2.0 SP2, .NET 3.0 and XPSEP as prerequisites,
in that order.

Sadly, it hangs, at least for me, Austin, and AF; see bug 25060 comment 19.

I remember disabling mscorsvw.exe to work around a hang. This is the executable
that implements the clr optimization service. It seemed to be able to catch up
afterwards.

That override helped, and winetricks dotnet35sp1 now passes dotnet_verifier,
thanks.

Next problem in Mathcad 15 is bug 31201.
