--- Comment #1 from super_man@post.com --- Are you still seeing this? The words comes from en.po file which contains wine translations. I have another locale in use so the text doesnt match.

--- Comment #2 from Henri Verbeet hverbeet@gmail.com --- I think this is the accelerator underscore being misplaced for some reason.

What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary|Typo in winecfg |Broken keyboard accelerator | |rendering in winecfg
--- Comment #5 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- That's not a typo, but likely a rendering issue. First letter 'o' in 'overrides' is supposed to be underlined, indicating available keyboard shortcut. Does it happen for you in clean wine prefix? Could you attach a screen shot?

--- Comment #3 from sworddragon2@aol.com --- Yes, with Wine 1.8 it is still worded "Existing_overrides:".

--- Comment #4 from sworddragon2@aol.com --- Edit: Oops, I see now that this report was already reported against 1.8. I will retest this if a newer version here is available.

--- Comment #6 from sworddragon2@aol.com --- Created attachment 54817 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=54817 Screenshot of winecfg
The underline below the o is indeed "missing" so you are probably right. Also I'm noticing that the text of "DLL overrides" isn't fully displayed. These issues do still appear with Wine 1.9.12 and a new profile. In the attachments is a screenshot that shows both issues.

Did you build Wine yourself or using a pre-built package? From the screenshot it looks like that you don't have Wine built-in fonts installed, and Wine fonts get substituted by some broken font.

--- Comment #8 from sworddragon2@aol.com --- I'm using the package from the wine/wine-builds ppa but was using before version 1.9.12 another ppa where this issue appeared too. I remember this ( https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32363 ) font issue but am not sure if it is related.
Edit: I have also now seen this ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine/+bug/1181515 ) issue in my bookmarks which I haven't remembered anymore which is more or less related to the other linked font issue.
