In wine 1.7.25 as well as 1.6.2, using either the nVidia 343 driver or the Intel IGP driver, I am able to click and expand dropdown menus in StarCraft II, such as the ones in the arcade section. Hover, clicking any item in the resulting list closes the dropdown. Audio feedback of clicks is being provided.

I assume you mean clicking any item in the resulting list closes the dropdown _without changing your selection_?
If so, I am unable to reproduce. Dropdowns function as expected here.

I've tried various combinations of windows version (in winecfg), video driver, and wine version, and I've seen the same result. I assume we each have up-to-date versions of SC2, because it updates as needed each time it runs.
Do you have any library overrides for either your default application settings, or for StarCraft II in particular? I've tried it with a few overrides I use for Steam, as well as with zero overrides, without seeing any change in behavior.

I recommend installing SC2 into a clean prefix if you haven't tried that already.
