Alctive-HDL_Sudent_Edition_9.3 is a VHDL program only available to windows and
love to use it on a mac. It install with one warning. you can install from
https://www.aldec.com/students/student.php?id=4. It free to use for students.

This is a very old version of Wine.  Please update to a recent version of Wine
(1.7.32 or later).  If you don't know how to do that, please ask in the user
forums.

Among other things, newer versions of Wine have fixed deficiencies in how
backtraces are collected, which would make the problem clearer (if it's not
just fixed).

Backtrace in wine 1.7.0

I was able to find a pkg for wine 1.7.0. This time around I install popup.ocx
and m2... dll files thinking that this could fix the problem. But it didn't so
attach is the backtrace from 1.7.0

Backtrace from 1.7.32

So I manage to install 1.7.32 just have a little issue with my path to wine.
For some reason it keep looking in the application folder, I assume it has to
do with wine bottler. I removed wine bottler now I am just have wine path
issue, I was able run it directly thou.

The trial tells me that it's expired on start in 1.7.32, I can't reproduce.

According to that page trial is not over till 12/31/2015.
