Visual Basic 6.0 setup crashes (see the attachment for error log).

I remember that it worked well in some very old version of Wine (probably 2 or
3 years ago).

Update: Install works well when Wine is set in Win9x mode.

I get the same C:\windows\temp\vs60wiz.exe crash with the Visual Studios 6 Pro
setup CD right after the initial screen. Setting it to Win98 helped. I haven't
tried on Win2k/XP yet.

the issue is long known (performance counter data), hence a duplicate of bug
5322
Please search bugzilla/appdb more carefully before opening new bugs.
