Bug ID: 36378 Summary: wsus won't run wget from dos box Product: Wine Version: 1.6.1 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: ToddAndMargo@zoho.com
Hi All,
Scientific Linux 6.5, 64 bit Wine 1.6.1 Xfce 4.8 wsusoffline-9.2
Would you guys fix WSUS (http://www.wsusoffline.net/) so that it works in Wine?
Currently, you can configure the GUI, but when it goes to run, the DOS box with wget in it fails to run. No crashing, WSUS just tells you it is finished, almost instantly, without downloading anything.
Many thanks, -T

--- Comment #1 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com --- Works fine here in wine 1.7.18 and wine 1.6.1, I see several wget operations in the console used to run the application.

I should take about an hour to download all of the XP patches. How long did yours take?

--- Comment #4 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com --- I'm running the application in the console. I didn't wait more than a couple of minutes because wget was used to download over 5 files in that period, so I don't think I can see the issue beucase dosbox didn't open.

Maybe I am not running it right. From wineconsole, I get a bunch of downloaded. But first I get a bunch of "path not founds".
Are you getting path not found

The path not found is part of the application starting process, it says: Cleaning up existing directories...

--- Comment #10 from Todd Chester ToddAndMargo@zoho.com --- Hi All,
I am going to open this one back up as WSUS won't run all the way through when downloading the W7, 64 bit updates.
Error is "ERROR: Download failure of win glb."
From the error log:
... 2014-06-12 05:05:16 URL:http://download.wsusoffline.net/ExcludeList-superseded-exclude.txt [190/190] -> "../exclude/ExcludeList-superseded-exclude.txt" [1] 6/11/2014 9:05 PM - Error: Download failure for win glb
And I will post a screenshot of the DOS window, which has more information.
Many thanks, -T

It "looks" (watch the "weasel" word) like it is working under 1.9.17 Wine Staging. I have attached the (wsus) installer log for you to look over and see for any errors.
I have no method of testing under regular Wine.
