------- Additional Comments From joe@eshu.net 2005-29-09 16:39 ------- Much as the attitude in comment #5 infuriates me, after taking the time to rebuild and test the latest CVS wine on a different machine from that which displayed the bug, I am forced to conclude that this is a kernel bug in the machine which first showed the bug.
I hope that in the future people who try to assist with your debugging are treated with a little less arrogance and more respect.
I know for myself filing an accurate and complete bug report is a significant investment of my too scarce time. The only reason I built a new wine from CVS and discovered this bug was that I was asked by the owner of bug 2622 http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2622 to re-explore a bug with an application installer that I had managed to kludge around, and that re-testing bug 2622 broke the working installation I had of the application, the use of which is the main reason that I use wine to begin with.
