This is a bug specific to 5.9.x - 5.8.x worked just fine.
On a clean 32-bit prefix, after installing
$ sha1sum Evernote_5.9.1.8742.exe c58652bec9ccf373cdc00c7d77f67e0b4fcb8570 Evernote_5.9.1.8742.exe
the notes list is populated and the first note is selected and shown in the panel. However, changing the selected note does not change the text shown in the note panel. Other metadata like Tags, Created/Updated etc are refreshed.
There is nothing printed in the terminal when I try to switch the notes.

Wine version is "wine-1.7.55" (Ubuntu backport package).
Remark: I always install the "riched20" with Evernote package to not have missing texts in the search box and others. But the main note content isn't updated, it always contains the content of the first note that has been opened when starting Evernote.
