--- Comment #3 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2013-01-01 02:58:21 CST --- Is this still a problem with Wine 1.5.20 (or newer)? I'm just curious, what Wine version was that when you opened this bug report?

Never mind, I found the answer in the attached backtrace and adjusted the version field accordingly :) I'm curious mostly because I have exactly the same problem when trying to patch Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. The patcher application (vpatch.exe) crashes somewhere during the file copying stage with exactly the same backtrace as shown in the attachment here. Strangely, this problem appeared in Wine 1.5.20 for me, and reverting commit 4adfb787f4e8c36a37ce1d53a7e6df16d03ecd8a fixes the crash.

--- Comment #6 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

--- Comment #7 from winetest@luukku.com --- Last attempt 3 years ago with wine version: "Wine build: wine-1.6". Sounds abandoned to me.
