--- Comment #2 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2011-12-09 12:31:48 CST --- Does this always happen? After playing for a while, I'll sometimes get a stuck key. Pausing/alt-tabbing works around it, though I haven't tested on windows so I'm not sure if it's a wine or game bug.

--- Comment #3 from Fernando fernandocarvalhocoelho@gmail.com 2011-12-13 15:52:02 CST --- This always happens to me. I've tested the same game (with the exactly the same files) on Windows 7 and it doesn't happens. I think that wine have some serious input bug at this point, because, I'm even unable to load the in-game console, when pressing " ' " key. If you see my terminal output, you will see many XInput warnings. I've tested the game using a clean wineprefix, and installed the directx via winetricks, just as described in this link: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=24787

--- Comment #7 from Fernando fernandocarvalhocoelho@gmail.com 2011-12-19 05:29:40 CST --- This seems to be a problem on Wine. As far as I know, there isn't an workaround for it. What we must do is to upload our terminal's output and hope wine developers to fix it. I wish to help in coding, but I'm not familiar with wine's source, so I will have to wait until someone fixes it.

--- Comment #8 from Fernando fernandocarvalhocoelho@gmail.com 2011-12-20 05:44:44 CST --- Created attachment 38043 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=38043 Console output for Skyrim on wine-1.3.35
This is the console output for Skyrim running on Xubuntu 11.10 (64-bit) on wine-1.3.35. The problems found are the same as those found in version wine-1.3.34: - Can't rotate objects with the mouse on the loading screens. - Can't open in-game console by pressing " ' " key. - The Avatar after some time, starts walking alone.
All these bugs are not present on Windows. I'm tested the same game, with the same files, on Windows 7 (64-bit).

--- Comment #9 from David Finch david@mytsoftware.com 2012-01-03 01:33:50 CST --- My occasional stuck key problems went away when I turned off numlock. It's probably related to the Skyrim keyboard mapping bug (mentioned in appdb, but I don't see a bug report) where every keypress is detected as 0x45 unless numlock is off.

--- Comment #10 from Fernando fernandocarvalhocoelho@gmail.com 2012-01-03 07:52:51 CST --- Turning off the NumLock is really a workaround for the problem. I've tested it here on wine-1.3.36 and it works. However there are other minor input problems on the Game that should be solved, because it can affect other applications. For example, I can't rotate objects on the loading screen and I can't open the in-game terminal by pressing " ' " key.

Open separate bug(s) for other issues ('~' not working, etc). Also please test with EN keyboard layout. There are several known problems with french keyboards.
