after starting the game, the very first video suffers from stuttering (Core 2
Duo 2 Ghz).

In the other bug you say you have an intel graphics card. I had similar
problems prior to updating to mesa 9 and newer versions of the video driver
(currently I use debian package 2.20.14).

Cannot reproduce.

I also have integrated Intel card:

Hi!

the bug is solved!

I retested the game with wine 1.7.16 however with another linux distribution
(debian instead of opensuse) an now it works.

--> resolved, invalid as the problem seems to be kernel/driver related.
