If I set language in linux session login to english accents work fine, but
using spanish or catalan the keyboard doesn't show accented chars like
àáéèíòóú.

When you have the non-English settings on, what does 'locale' say?

My locale shows ca_ES.UTF-8 when set to Catalan or es_ES when set to Spanish in
all settings; for example LANG shows this when set to Catalan:

LANG=ca_ES.UTF-8

no it is not a 64-bit OS.

It is a 32-bit 7.10 Ubuntu (Gutsy Gibon).

Now it works :O

I've tried with the notepad that comes with Wwine and it works... It seems that
installing spanish language as an allowed one has "shaken" something that makes
it work in catalan... I don't know what has changed as I opened this bug
because it didn't work... But changing to english, adding spanish and the
changing back to catalan has changed something as I can "create" accented chars
in catalan.

I don't know what has changed in config, but thanks for your time anyway.
