Summary: Mouse visible when it shouldn't be in Quake Live Product: Wine Version: 1.1.17 Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: MattFinn@gmail.com
In Quake Live (essentially an online quake 3, free to play and download), the mouse always shows up, centered (being a FPS, the mouse should be hidden).
I was able to install the game by going to http://www.quakelive.com/, registering. I used winetricks for 'firefox3' and 'flash', installed their plugin (wine msiexec /i QuakeLiveNP.msi), and played the game.
I could post a screen shot if it'd help, but it doesn't sound necessary.

--- Comment #1 from Matt Finnicum MattFinn@gmail.com 2009-03-15 23:10:22 --- Switched game to fullscreen mode. It was impossible to see. But next time I ran it just loaded fullscreen. No mouse issue and significantly better performance.

wait, invalid because it takes a restart to go to full screen or invalid because of the mouse being visible? I don't see the mouse when I play this on windows in non-full-screen.

--- Comment #5 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-03-16 08:24:19 --- Invalid because this also happens on Windows.

--- Comment #6 from Matt Finnicum MattFinn@gmail.com 2009-03-16 10:20:25 --- I've asked fifteen windows users now and not one has seen this issue on windows.

and

this bug report should be perhaps worth reopening...
