Summary: Dungeon Keeper 2 cursor fails to render correctly with hardware rendering enabled Product: Wine Version: 1.1.0 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: Rincebrain@gmail.com
With hardware rendering mode enabled, Dungeon Keeper 2 fails to render the cursor correctly - the cursor itself renders, but the surrounding box is rendered oddly, and makes clicking with the cursor an exercise in guesswork.
Attachments demonstrate what happens with vs. without hardware rendering.

Attached a screenshot of the actual issue. The box around the cursor is a sort of window to a layer that collects images of the cursor as it has been dragged around the screen. As the cursor type and size changes (eg. for digging mode), the box size changes too. Note that this is only an issue when 'Hardware Rendering' is selected from the graphics options menu, and as such can be easily worked around.

--- Comment #5 from Jonathan jony121@hotmail.com 2008-09-23 18:41:23 --- On mine when I looked more closely I realised the box wasn't black but was in fact as I scrolled around behind the playing game was a huge blow up of the dungeon keeper 2 logo.

--- Comment #6 from Hew McLachlan hew.mclachlan@gmail.com 2008-09-24 07:44:21 --- It's not just the logo that is the "background image". I notice when you look at the fullscreen map, that seems to stick as the new image. It appears to get replaced by new things at various stages of the game. The most common of course is just by moving the mouse around, it will 'blur' itself all over this background.
