Hi!

I am trying to run the macmillan dictionary 2nd edition and fail to do so.

At first I tried with wine 1.0 with no luck. Then I went to the #winehq shannel
in freenode and was instructed to debug using WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh wine
app.exe &>/tmp/test3.txt

I'll attach the log.

I also tried with 1.4 and the following patch

Any help is most welcome

Well, I tried with 1.1.7 and there was a slight change in behavior. Now the
screen goes blank (as if changing the video mode) for a moment when I try to
run Macmillan. Unfortunately, that is about all that happens.

Hi,

As I discovered yesterday the bug is fixed now. Macmillan has released a patch
which makes the dictionary work.

months. Is this still an issue in current (1.1.40 or newer) wine?

Oh, I had know idea this bug was still open. Look at comments #4 and #5.
Everything is fine now and as it turned out the trouble was initially caused by
Macmillan rather than wine.
