the autorun.exe file does not run when i try to install it. nothing happens. no
error displayed. the cursor (waiting sign) hovers for sometime and then
vanishes.

This has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in 1.6-rc1 or higher or is this abandoned ?

No response from the bug reporter, marking abandoned.
Feel free to reopen if you still have the problem in Wine 1.7.35 or newer.
