[Bug 18938] New: Photoshop CS3 installer gives a Program Error

When attempting to run the Setup.exe of either Photoshop CS3 or Dreamweaver CS3
a window pops up saying:

Program Error
This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine.

Followed by some information regarding bug reports and the appdb.winehq.org
website.

I've heard about others getting Ps or Dw to work, I fail to see the cause of
the problem.

I'm sorry. I'm a frequent and longtime wine user but this is my first bug
report (blocker seemed appropriate but it seems it wasn't).

wine log file

this command was used to generate the log
wine ".wine/drive_c/Program Files/Adobe CS3/Dreamweaver/Adobe CS3/Setup.exe" &>
log.txt

It gives a small pop-up, the app starts to load something (with a loading bar)
and just quits. It doesn't give the error when I attempt to output to a log
file.

I cd'd to the directory, but it gives the same errors.

The problem affects Adobe CS3/CS4 installers and is known for some time now.
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 appdb entry references this bug id which makes me wonder
if you really searched thoroughly.
The Dreamweaver CS3 appdb entry (HOWTO) certainly needs some review as it looks
pretty outdated/plain wrong.

With Photoshop CS3 appdb entry it was probably an oversight of maintainers to
leave out that bug number.

There weren't any Photoshop maintainers until recently...

Duplicate.

I can't confirm every CS3/CS4 installer myself, so if Bug 18070 is known to
affect a CS3/CS4 app, please link the bug in the appdb.  Thanks.
