Summary: Daniel Valot's Shishensho classic 1.22 doesn't show stop sign properly at end of game (dogfood) Product: Wine Version: 1.1.2 Platform: Other URL: http://dvalot.free.fr/download/SHISENST.EXE OS/Version: other Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: dank@kegel.com
Daniel Valot has several games available for download at http://dvalot.free.fr/games.htm This bug is in the 'classic' or 'ascii' (non-.NET) version of his ShiShenSho. My wife plays this often, and problems in it are a showstopper for migration to Linux (see http://kegel.com/wine/migrating-user-1.html). The game plays tolerably in Linux (once you figure out to click the 'X' icon on the left bar to get fullscreenish mode), right up until the end. When you successfully complete a level, it's supposed to display an octagonal window with some choices, but on Wine, it's not displayed properly - there's only a white octagon, sometimes missing some text. You can move the octagon around and if you cover and uncover it, part of it gets drawn better, but it's still not right, I think.
The tough part is, I don't have a recipe to reproduce, other than 'play a level and win'. I'll see if I can find a way to load a game on the verge of winning, and attach the saved game file.
