Bug #: 34129 Summary: can't install Visual C++ 8.0 in Wine64 Product: Wine Version: 1.6-rc5 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: wlroberts@tru.ca Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 45387 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=45387 backtrace: Visual C++ 8.0 won't install in Wine64
Installing Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 requires that Visual C++ 8.0 be installed first; but this generates an error message stating that Visual C++ 8.0 is a 32-bit application and can't be installed in a 64-bit environment. (However, I've successfully installed other 32-bit applications, such as Word Perfect 10.) The backtrace is attached.

--- Comment #3 from William Roberts wlroberts@tru.ca 2013-07-26 21:31:30 CDT --- I looked at bug 24611, and it isn't apparent to me how to apply that discussion so that I can install Visual C++ 8.0. Can anyone give me some guidance?
